The Scenic Route family exploring New Zealand
Work With The Scenic Route

Let’s tell a story
worth travelling for.

We are a Canadian family exploring New Zealand through long-form YouTube videos, photography and first-hand travel guides. We work with destinations, tourism operators, accommodation, sponsors and brands when there is a genuine story worth sharing.

The story comes first

The best partnerships feel like they belong there.

Sponsors, hosted experiences and destination partners can be a real part of The Scenic Route.

What matters is that the partnership makes sense for the adventure, gives the audience something useful or interesting and still feels like the channel people came to watch.

We want partners to get real value from working with us while protecting the personality, honesty and trust that make the story valuable in the first place.

Good partners. Real stories.
What we create

The video is the story. Everything else helps it travel further.

Long-form YouTube stays at the centre of The Scenic Route. Photography, first-hand website guides and short-form content can support the adventure without replacing it.

The main product
01 • Long-form video

A story people actually want to watch.

The adventure, reactions, uncertainty, scenery and payoff live on YouTube. The partner fits into that story rather than replacing it.

02 • Photography

Real images from the journey.

Landscapes, people, details and places photographed while we are actually exploring them.

03 • First-hand guide

A searchable home for the adventure.

Major stories can continue on our website with useful planning information, our experience and a clear path back to the video.

More ways into the main story.

Shorts and social content can pull out a discovery, moment or question that gives people another reason to find the full adventure.

Who we work with

If there is a genuine story there, we want to hear about it.

The strongest fit is usually a place, experience or product that gives our family something worth discovering.

Destinations

Regional Tourism Organisations

Regional adventures, road trips and connected destination stories that give people a reason to explore beyond one stop.

Experiences

Tourism Operators

Activities and experiences that give our family something interesting to do, learn, attempt or discover.

Stay

Hotels & Accommodation

Places that genuinely become part of the trip rather than simply somewhere we happened to sleep.

Discover

Attractions & Venues

Wildlife, heritage, landscapes, museums, caves, unusual places and attractions with something worth finding out about.

Partners

Sponsors & Brands

Products and companies that naturally fit the way our family travels, explores, films and experiences New Zealand.

Bigger journeys

Regional Campaigns

Several locations or experiences connected by one strong journey rather than treated as a checklist of unrelated stops.

A real family perspective

Four people. Four different reactions.

We do not experience every adventure in exactly the same way, and that is part of what makes the story useful.

Different confidence levels

Something one of us finds easy can feel completely different to someone else.

Real family decisions

Plans can change. Someone can turn around. Something can surprise us. Those moments are part of travelling together.

First-time perspective

We are still discovering a huge amount of New Zealand for the first time, which means the reactions are actually ours.

The place still gets to be the star

Our family creates the connection, but the location, experience or discovery is what gives the story somewhere to go.

More than one upload

A good story can keep working after release day.

YouTube creates the connection. The website gives useful adventures another way to be discovered later.

01 • Discover

We experience it for real.

The story begins with an actual place, activity, challenge or discovery worth spending time on.

02 • Tell

The adventure becomes the video.

YouTube carries the personality, reactions, humour, scenery and payoff that make people care.

03 • Explain

The website adds useful depth.

Practical information and first-hand perspective help people understand the experience without replacing the video.

04 • Keep working

Search can find it again.

A useful adventure page gives the story another path to be discovered long after the original upload.

The location earns the search. The family creates the connection.
Ways to work together

Different stories need different partnerships.

We do not try to force every collaboration into the same package. The right structure depends on the place, the story and what everyone is trying to achieve.

01
Hosted

Hosted experience or stay.

An activity, accommodation or destination experience can become part of a Scenic Route trip when it genuinely fits what we are exploring.

Hosting helps make the experience possible. It does not change the fact that what viewers see is our family's real experience.

02
Integrated

Sponsored story partnership.

A relevant destination, operator or brand can support an adventure and have a meaningful place within the story.

The strongest integrations feel useful to the viewer and natural to what we were already there to discover.

03
Regional

Multi-stop destination story.

A larger regional journey can connect several experiences, places and discoveries through one central travel story.

Each stop still has to earn its place. The goal is a journey, not a list of advertisements.

We are happy to hear unusual ideas too. If the idea gives our family a genuine reason to go somewhere, attempt something, learn something or discover something we did not know before, that is a good start.

Need dedicated production too?

The Scenic Route is the story. FrameTheory can handle the commercial brief.

If your project also needs dedicated professional video, photography or a website for your own business, the family behind The Scenic Route also runs FrameTheory Visuals.

That work stays separate from The Scenic Route's editorial voice. It simply means one trip can sometimes create both an authentic Scenic Route story and dedicated professional assets for your business.

Before you get in touch

A few useful answers.

Every collaboration is different, but these are the things we would want a potential partner to know first.

Do you accept hosted experiences and accommodation?
Yes, when the experience genuinely fits a Scenic Route trip. A hosted stay or activity does not automatically mean it becomes the main subject of a video, and it does not guarantee a particular reaction or conclusion. The story still needs to work for viewers.
Can a partner control what goes into the video?
We can agree important facts, practical details, campaign requirements and the general shape of a partnership before filming. The Scenic Route itself still needs to reflect our family's genuine experience. We do not want the channel to feel scripted around a predetermined positive reaction.
Can we use the photography or footage you create?
Potentially. Content usage and licensing can be discussed as part of the collaboration so everyone understands which assets are included and where they can be used.
Do you publish fixed sponsorship packages or rates?
Not on this page. A hosted experience, integrated sponsorship and multi-stop destination story can involve very different amounts of travel, filming and production. Once we understand the idea, we can discuss the most sensible scope.
Can you also create dedicated content for our own business?
Yes. That is where FrameTheory Visuals comes in. Dedicated professional video, photography and website work can be scoped separately from The Scenic Route collaboration so the commercial brief and the channel's own voice remain clearly separated.
What should we include when contacting you?
Tell us who you are, where the destination or experience is, what makes it interesting, any timing we should know about and what kind of collaboration you have in mind. Most importantly, tell us why you think it could make a good Scenic Route story.

Tell us where the story could take us.

If you have a destination, experience, accommodation, product or campaign that could give our family something genuinely worth discovering, we would love to hear about it.

Tell us what it is, where it is, why it is interesting and what you are hoping to achieve. We can work out the rest from there.
